darn - i really wish national merit went by nationwide percentiles, not individual states

Does anyone know when they post all the questions with the answers to the PSAT on the collegeboard website?

I got a 216 on my PSAT this yr in OH. I am pretty sure that I will be at least a Commended Scholar, but does anyone know what my chances are as a Semi-Finalist? I know last yr's cutoff was right around 216 and I was just wondering.

CollegeBoard doesnt post the problems to the PSAT as far as I know.

Maybe after 10 yrs they will.

I think this is because they use the same core questions and they don;t want students to get an advantage.

Zeldex, you'll definitely make commended and most probably semifinalist. The scores don't change much when they do change.

i hate living in NY!!!! i got 215....no chance at a semifinalist

Has anyone ever requested a manual score? What happens if you changed your answere but may not have erased the first pencil mark clean enough? Does the computer score the question incorrect if two answers are filled?

I presented this question to college boards on friday and have yet to hear a reply. Son scored a 217in OH (99 percentile) 71 CR/68 M/78 Writing (Sophmore year, May 2006 SAT scores 640 CR/740 M/630 Writing)

Son missed two math, and got a 73. That is brutal scoring.

How much lower are scores for commendation than for semi-finalist? The list on the prior page were cutoffs for commended or SF?

I want my score!!!!

it is taking a lot of self-control to keep myself from going to the counseling office and bugging them every hour...(might have done that last year...)

That's what I'm doing currently ;)

Every day, I go to the office and ask... until they know me so well that right when I walk in, they shake their heads and say nooo. =[

XD new york blows. -points to 218-

I got 231 in NJ. I hope I get semifinalist.

My D got her result yesterday - 222. We live in OH

AAAAAAAAAAAHH!! My poor D! ETS refused all of her requested accomodations except a larger font for the PSAT, which we were annoyed enough about, and now they are holding her score for some reason. Every other kid in the school (NJ) got theirs today. She is beside herself. I called but can get no answer, as expected. I just hope they didn't lose it!

We still don't have them at our school and all the other schools in town have theirs. My s goes to the counselor everyday and no scores. She said they were sent ups. Have you ever heard that? She said she could get a tracking number on friday. Does that mean they are just being sent?

i failed the psat

I don't even have mine. My school has decided to torture us and give it back in January.

I got a 216, last year's cutoff was 214. So I probably have it, but it's close.

I got a perfect score in Math. Writing section sucked.

Here in tx, my counselor told me the Nation Meritt cutoff was 215, and commended was 207.

"I missed 3, omitted 0, lost an extra point, and got a 77 CR. So -4 = 77."
- HyperJulie

How???
Their curving is just not fair! I missed the same amount and got 74 CR. Exact same #correct/inc.

This sucks! And last year I got a 770 (real SAT) for 1 wrong math! Their curves are wacko man

On a different note, would 234/Florida make Nat'l Merit Anything?
