PSAT/SAT Stats

I’m a sophomore right now, but I got a 204 on the PSAT as a freshman.
Awaiting October PSAT and taking the SAT in a week!

Hmm… I guess I’ve come a long way
Sophomore PSAT: 156 (without prep)
Junior PSAT: 186 (took a princeton review class)
Junior SAT: 2030 (self studying, practice tests)
Hopefully my senior is over 2100+

Freshman PSAT: 171
Sophomore PSAT: 192
Junior PSAT: 201 (commended)
Junior SAT (January): 2090
Junior SAT (May): 2270

I have a pretty constant upward trend which is most likely from just being in school; I never studied for any of these outside of prep in english classes.

Soph PSAT: 210 or 211 (I don’t remember)
Junior PSAT: 222 (national merit semi)
SAT: 2250 first try, 2380 second try

bump
10char

Sophomore PSAT: 205
Junior PSAT: 215 (national merit semifinalist)
Junior SAT: 2250
Senior SAT: 2400

I didn’t really prep for the sophomore or junior PSATs even though I knew I should have. I really regret not prepping, especially because I barely made national merit semifinals. My first SAT was really a trial run. Junior year was pretty busy and a low for me, so I chose not to take anymore during that spring. I finally spent time studying with the blue book come summertime and it definitely paid off! Good luck to all those waiting for PSAT scores!

Sophomore PSAT: 183 (61CR 65M 57W)
Junior PSAT: Pending (expecting no more than 225, probably like 215)
SAT (Nov, 1st time): 2220 (800CR, 690M, 730W)

Not sure what happened on the math, I usually do quite well on that section… Retaking in Jan. I’m hoping that my math goes up to 800 and my writing goes up 20 to 40 points.

BUMP 10char

Soph-206
Junior-222 (NMSF)
January of junior year-2400

only my 4th bump lol

10th- 229
11th- 224
12th- 2370

Sophomore PSAT: 210
Junior PSAT: not available yet
Junior SAT: 2380–> 800CR, 800M, 780W

Here’s what I suggest: don’t finish the bluebook too early–prep for the SAT with harder prep books that teach you various techniques and then maybe a few months before the SAT, use the bluebook and finish it. Then a couple of weeks before the SAT, go over all your past practice tests and try to explain to yourself WHY you got a question wrong and WHY your answer was wrong and WHY the correct answer is the right answer. Hope this helps :)

Sophomore: 159 (no prep and didn’t care)

Sophomore PSAT: 184(NO prep at all)

Scores are available; however, counselors or advisors want to break down the results and present them so they don’t leave out some vital information and don’t have to keep repeating themselves for their own sanity. You should be able to go and ask them if they can give you a brief blurp of your score and set up a time when they can meet with you or ask when they plan to go over the scores with your class. We’re in Texas and my daughter got a brief blurp of her scores from her counselor yesterday.
