<p>There aren't really any differences, are there? I know the PSAT doesn't have an essay, but what else? Is it any easier?</p>
<p>I'm a sophomore and I took the PSAT in October with my school. I didn't prep at all, but I didn't do nearly as well as I did on the PLAN. With a good amount of prep, could I turn a 191 (64 CR, 67 M, 60 W) into 70s (700s) in each?</p>
<p>SAT has a lot more sections (10 vs. 3). In terms of content difficulty, the questions are a bit harder, but not by much.</p>
<p>You will have no problem at all. Sophomore year I got a 172 on the PSAT (58 CR 64 M 50W), in junior year I got a 210 (62 CR 73 M 75 W) and then a 2280 on the actual SAT (730 CR 790 M 760 W). A 191 sophomore year is VERY good. My friend who recently received a 2390 got a 199 sophomore year.</p>
<p>That’s awesome! I got pretty much the same score sophomore year: 192. Juniors psats I got 201, my first sat I got 2090, then last month I pulled a 2270. Pretty good for never studying!</p>
<p>Wow that all makes me feel a lot better haha. The math is so easy it just throws me off, because no matter what the CollegeBoard says, the harder questions are designed to trick me and nothing else haha.</p>
<p>I also got 192 on my PSAT (60 R, 80 M, 54 W)…studied a few grammar rules and got a 2070 on the SAT (610 R, 800 M, 660 W).</p>
<p>Harder questions of any type are designed to trick you. If you can get around those tricks, you will have no problem.</p>
<p>They are pretty similar, only the SAT score is a bit higher than the PSAT because you would be studying and preparing, right? I actually guessed on a lot of questions to see how bad I would do if I were to do that on the actual SAT and I even dozed off for a bit on the math section (I am not a math person at all). I got a 152.</p>
