PSAT writing questions!!!!

I think i screwed this one up, but might as well ask.

Something like this:

This artist gained acclaim for her studies on animals, and becoming the first woman to win the ____________ award.

Is the error and becoming? i said no error because i thought that the for from for her studies might carry over.

No error for: six black people conversation question, william wordsworth house and other stuff. hmm. i got 2 As in a row as well.

i think idid put becoming thing as an error (was that B?)

and i think i also got no error for hte black ppl one, everything is kinda fuzzy now for writing

did you guys get a lot of C D E for last column writing, no A B?

also, for writing, did you get
william wordsworth’s house for eight years; today it is a …
(choice A, no mistake?)

yeah i put no mistake

C, D, E? what

lol no idea… hmm.

yeah I got a lot of C’s, D’s, and E’s but maybe not exclusively.and i said choice A for that one

yeah i said no mistake on the house one

does anybody remember that one about outrageously offensive comments or somethihng sorry to be so vague

oh yeah i remember that. the error was a very hard error to get. but once you get it, its obvious. oh yeah! its like subject verb agreement error - the expression of outrageously offensive comments WAS as common as the phrase “hello”. or something like that. WAS is right. WERE is not.

oh right i got that one ^.
writing is hard to remember.. haha

ok good i said that too but I didn’t know why it was wrong it just didnt sound right to me because expression is the subject not the comments

i got becoming the first woman as the answer.
what about the one like “… asked for … be given.”
was the answer D (asked for) or E??

ya i put “becoming” for the error because it just didn’t sound right…and i also put no error for the 1994 book/six lives question, although i was unsure…the error could have been that “they are central” was supposed to be “they were central” since the next verb was “they shared”

yeah i said d too, to make it asked

no thats right, normally, books are only talked about in the present tense
the answer to that one is no mistake

what was that sentence does anybody remember

oh and also there was an error in one sentence where it said “neither (something) OR (something)” but it should have been neither/nor right?

and there was another problem about like an author being renowned not only in america but also in europe: in rome, (bla bla blah some story) or maybe it was renowned not only in America but also in Europe, in Rome: she was walking down the street

i forget the answer. does anyone remember either of those

said neither nor
and then blah blah; still, in rome

^margaret- yes, there was a neither/nor Q, it was choice C but i dont remember what the sentence was

oh i forgot the rome answer…

ok I said neither/nor which was C. and I got something else for the Rome one but I don’t remember. urgh
