<p>Whats up guys, I just wanna know my chances of getting into Penn State- UP. I have a 3.4 unweighted average and a 3.7 weighted. I have a very very hard course load, will have taken 10 AP's by the end of High School. I have a 28 on my ACT and will hopefully have a 29+ on the next one in 2 weeks. My EC's and recommendation are stellar. I also visited Penn State to show my desire to attend to the college. Thanks so much, really appreciate it.</p>
<p>Id say your midrange with being closer to getting in. Id look at the numbers for myself if I were you. Apply As soon as its possible.</p>
<p>I spoke to the admissions officer and she told me that it doesn't matter whether you apply August 1st or November 30 (the deadline); nobody has an advantage or disadvantage.</p>
<p>I don't know about that. Doesn't Penn State have rolling admissions for all but the honors college? If so, it would be advantageous to apply earlier.</p>
<p>Even so, it would be more beneficial to get a better score on my ACTs then to send it now with my lower scores.</p>
<p>That ACT was kinda hard, if I didnt improve and still end up with a 25 do you think I have any chance? I feel as though I do because on the website there were 25% of kids who were admitted with lower scores then the average gpa of 3.5-3.9 and 26-30 on the act.</p>

<p>Yeah I have, its cutting it close, I am praying that it helped that I applied to DUS, visited the school and am applying for Summer or Fall session. As of right now I have a 3.4 uw and a 25 on my acts. One thing that really made me happy was that PSU accepted 40 students from my school last year.</p>
<p>but all 40 of those kids got into UP?? thats insane, how big is your school?</p>
<p>Yeah all 40 got into UP. Last years class consisted of about 300 students. All of the big 10 schools love my HS because they sent crazy amount of kids to amazing schools.</p>
<p>wow - all 40 got in- that's pretty good. My son's school (in state) sent about 40 to UP but yet another 45 to the satellite campuses. And very few of those 45 wanted to go to the satellite campuses.</p>
<p>My D's h.s. sent approx. 60 out of 470 to UP. There are about another 25-30either at our local branch campus or at Altoona, if they got their housing apps in early.</p>

<p>I am no expert, but I think your chances are pretty good for PSU. 28 is a really solid score on the ACT, and the more challenging courses you've taken, the better. Good luck!</p>
