May 1st is approaching but I'm still having a hard figuring out where I should go.
I was admitted into both Penn State's Smeal College of Business and Indiana University's Kelley School of Business and stuck between the two ever since.

On one side, I want to go the Penn State because it is closer to the major cities like NY, DC and Philadelphia. Plus, Penn State seems to have a better reputation nationally over IU, not to mention that it is probably easier to find internship and summer jobs in that area.

But on the other hand, IU's Kelley is a much better business school in comparison to Penn State's Smeal and since I will be a business Major , it might be a better choice. . . .

After all calculation , their cost nearly the same for me.

In addition, I also want to know which school you guys think will give me a better edge , if I'm planning to transfer to other business schools (UNC or UVA) after sophomore year.

IU definitely has the better business school. And honestly, you’re not going to end up going into the major cities much, if ever, at Penn State. I know a bunch of people there and it doesn’t sound like anyone really leaves campus on the weekends.

if location is that big of a factor for you, then obviously go to PSU.

but if you’re asking us which school has the better program, it’s Indiana. Kelley obviously has great job placement, or it wouldn’t be so well ranked.

and Penn State is not that close to anything… don’t think that you’ll be taking regular trips to major cities, because like ElizaB said students don’t really leave campus.

Most People dont think of PSU for business but it is a very solid college for business. My sisters boyfriend majored in there and is now in NYC with a very prestigous firm. If you are from Jersey I would pick PSU. Alot of the students go right to NYC for their internships and jobs right out of school. Plus PSU has an awsome lifestyle and the best campus!!Be a nittany lion!!
