PSU vs. GW

Hi! I really need some help deciding on school next year...

I was accpeted into the Business School at GW as well as Penn State's Smeal School of Business and I plan on majoring in finance. I got a substantial amount of financial aid so both schools will cost about the same.

I don't know where to go!

I know Penn State's undergrad business school is better (ranked 22 in the nation), whereas GW's isn't in the top 50. Also I know that Penn state is #1 for recruiting, and the alumni connections are crazy. However, I feel like GW is academically better overall and more prestegious.

The most important thing for me is getting a good internship at a well respected financial firm (ex. Goldman Sachs, Merril Lynch, etc.)

What are your thoughts?
THANKSSS

GW is definitely not MORE prestigious. I think PSU is better at getting you internships unless you are looking to work in DC.

GW as a school is definitely more prestigious than PSU.

GW is more prestigious, Penn State is more widely recognized and has a more extensive alumni network. GW is an urban campus, PSU is a college town. GW has , in general, a wealthier and more sophisticated student body, PSU has more “regular kids.” Recruiters look very favorably on Penn State graduates, but you may have to fight to distinguish yourself from the masses due to sheer numbers. GW has proximity to large firms. No bad choice here;Which campus felt “right” for you?
