Hey guys, I'm trying to register for Psychology two, but GROWL is telling me that the spots are being saved for psych majors, yet there are almost 400 spots left. Is there any way to get past this? I emailed my advisor, but I'm not getting a response.

I also have another question regarding foreign language: Do any of you know if it's possible to register for a foreign language before taking a placement exam? I want to register for a class, but there are no more test dates available for now and I don't want the spots to fill up.

you should physically go and visit your advisor. at this time of year, he/she is probably never going to get back to you (sucks right?)

and no, i dont believe its possible to do so, although you can email the people at the FL department to double check that (they’ve been pretty good at getting back to me when i email them). i think they input what you can and cant take into the computer after you have taken the placement exam. it’d be dumb if they let you sign up for a level 4 class just to find out you only placed into level 3. however, if you plan on taking the most elementary class available for that language, it should be fine.
