i was just wondering
you know, public school education is free but there are still a lot of things we pay for relating to school for example

-AP tests- $80
-other collegeboard tests
-school lunch lol
-SU card i guess
-school dances
-club membership
-trip fees
-SAT Prep courses (if u take them)
-class fee (for example: to take Bowling Gym at my school u have to pay i think $85)
-Gym Uniform lol
-other stuff

im interested to know, if your parents pay (completely, or in part) for any of these things?
and if you pay, is it because you get allowance/have a job?

Well, to tell you the truth. Back in high school, I payed zip. My financial situation plus the program I was in plus my grades got me around ten thousand dollars for school related things starting from school supplies to ap exams to sat exams to sat II exams to lunch.

tests
school donation (education is free but school likes you if you donate money.. me + sister = $500+)
sat prep books (i got like 30.. my mum keeps on buying them! and i havent even opened 20 of them)
tutoring
soccer gear (mainly just football boots)
school ball (this year, it costed near half a grand)

basically - my [parents will pay anything to get me through school. and i am very very very grateful. i love them <3
