What's the best way to get to Irvine and San Diego through public transportation from the UCLA campus? If anybody else is interested, I want to find a way to go see +44 in San Diego Oct. 13.

I heard of some free UC shuttle that goes from the UCLA campus to the UCI campus... does anybody know anything about this?

And off topic a bit... but do the meal swipes reset on every Sunday? Do they reset before the 12-2am swipe time or before breakfast for tht day?

i might head to SD on the 13th ... 20 bucks ill give you a ride, you need to arrange a pick up form Del mar/carmel valley area.

i head to san diego on some of the weekends as i am from there, but i would be able to tell you closer to the date.

the other way to get to SD is take the coaster, its fastest, but still slow, its about 3 hours or more.... and i belive about 35$ bucks? not sure on the price though.

Metrolink goes all the way to Oceanside where you can pick up the Coaster to San Diego. Amtrak is probably faster because there are fewer stops than Metrolink/Coaster.

there's metrolink stops in glendale or commerce, but getting there might be a problem. i had trouble getting to union station from westwood as well, and had to transfer. i think there's a commuter express that goes to union though, with limited hours.

Would it be unrealistic to get to SD through public transportation in about 3 hours? My last class on friday ends at 3:45pm and the show is at 7:00pm... is my best bet to find someone with a car who can take me instantly?
