Pulling Hair

I am a candidate for admission for the class 0f 2011. Lots of my friends from SS, TAC, and around town (Colorado Springs) have heard from the Academy. I continue to wait for my appointment, although I have received my nomination from the most competitive district in the US. So my question is this: Should I be worried that I have not received my appointment yet, or has everyone that has received one so far just received their early? I have heard the majority of appointments are given out in March, but have also heard that the boards started earlier this year in order to let people know earlier. I am freaking out because it seems everyone around me are getting their appointments while I remain camped out at my mailbox…

Thanks in advance for any therapy I might receive…

Welcome to the military -- hurry up and wait.

Most are given in March. I know waiting sucks, but you just have to live with it.

Luke303rd,

I am in the same boat as you. My admissions counselor told me that 90% of appointments are made by mid-March. It looks like we have about 6 more weeks of waiting.

I know my appointment for 2010 was among the 1000 appointments issued during a monday in mid-march last year. That might help you. ;)

Thanks for the replies guys. I have been through these forums before but only recently worked up the nerve to post something. I'm glad I did, I have a little more to chew on now as I wait it out...
