I would like to get information about buying a new Apple laptop through the school so I can get a student discount. I checked out the bookstore site but it didn't seem to offer much of a discount. Thanks.

You can buy through apple and get the discount directly.

The Apple Store (U.S.) - Welcome to the Apple Store

^That should get you directly to the WashU page.

Thanks so much!

ebay.com ....

Apple.com has a great education deal - The Apple Store (U.S.) - Back to School - Buy an Apple before Sep 15th and get a free ipod (up to $299 value). Almost hating myself for buying a new Apple over winter break.

^I got the free ipod touch with my mac (I love it to death, especially because it was free).

They also give you a free printer, or credit towards a better printer.

This Apple deal is just amazing, we went for it yesterday. For $1800 we got the MacBook in black (2.4hz with 2gb), 2 year extended protection, Office2008 for Mac, the ITouch, and the all in one. Daughter got the MacBook, hubby got the ITouch since daughter already has Ipod Video, and older son gets the all in one printer. Win win win.

PS, we did get the educational discount. Brought a copy of my D's acceptance letter and her ID number, that was all they needed.

^If you don't have an acceptance letter with you (which I didn't), they'll allow you to sign into WebSTAC on one of the store computers to prove it.
