Purchasing linens

We had this x-long linens discussion before, but now that the clock is ticking, I need some advice from anyone who is more familiar with LA stores. We went to Bed, Bath and Beyond. My son did not like the comforter sets. I bought twin x-long sheets since that size tends to be more limited. Does anyone have an idea of the stock of higher quality comforters at Penny's, Macy's, or the name of a smaller linens shop in LA to buy the remaining bedding in person?

Linens N Things also has them.

Target has 08 College

If he's living in the dorms I would definitely recommend investing in a mattress pad similar to this one:

I believe they call them "mattress toppers". I got mine from Bed, Bath and Beyond freshman year. Dorm mattresses are pretty awful otherwise.

If you already have XL twin sheets, I think he would do fine with a regular twin comforter. That expands the options a lot.

There are several discount stores that offer some of those same comforters that the department store sells in the Los Angeles area. Ross, Marshalls, TJ Maxx all carry comforters you might want to check out.

Also, Bed Bath and Beyond and Linens N Things also have nice quality items.

i got the regular type of linens. my friend got the xl from target. the regular one is a snug fit. she tells me im better off getting the regular one because the xl keeps on slipping off.

you can get XL twin sheets, but a regular twin comforter. Much easier to find.

We got the XL sheets at Target. Make sure you remember a memory foam mattress pad. Those dorm beds are horrible.
