Hey everyone, I was just browsing around and didn’t notice a thread for 2015 Purdue transfer hopefuls. I decided to start one so we can all just share our stats, and dampen each other’s stress.
My stats
New Jersey Community College
Associates in Science in Chemistry
CGPA:3.75
EC: work 25 hours per week, Phi Theta Kappa member, national chemistry week adviser.
Applied for the Bachelors of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
I also have a rich legacy from the school and my father is a distinguished alumni and close friends with the dean of the Pharmacy school. I’ve been raised to love Purdue so I’m hoping for the best for me, as well as all of you!

@Magichour1814 I have not yet received a response from Purdue. I’m not sure how much longer I will wait as I have been accepted to U Mich. Have you gotten your decision yet?
Nope. I completed my application about 3 weeks ago and have not heard anything back yet. Congrats on getting into U Mich, it is a very nice school. So nervous now 
@Magichour1814 thank you. I just checked my application status today and it says it is in committee review. I’m unsure of what that means but hopefully we hear back soon. Don’t be nervous you’ll get in!
@boilerup4purdue Mine says “completed ready to review”. It’s almost 1 month since I completed my application. Hopefully we will hear the result soon

btw do you remember when you completed your Purdue application? I submitted in the end of Jan but it shows “Application Complete” on Feb 20th though…
@magichour1814 Yeah I submitted my app on January 6th and all my materials were received by January 20th. Congrats to you as well UCSB is gorgeous and a great school! Is that your number one?
@boilerup4purdue I see! So we almost completed the application at the same time. Hopefully I will hear back from Purdue soon. I think this week is their spring break though. My first choice is U of I-Urbana Champaign but I get denied. I am doing the appeal and hopefully they will reconsider my application So happy for u that you get into your 1st choice school !!!

I am an International Transfer Student.I applied to College of Science(Computer science)
Though the requirement for consideration is 2.5,what are my chances with a GPA of 3.15(I have completed my freshmen year and took a semester off for some project)?
@ashumalik Hi, I am also an international student from China. Purdue has really strong cs program so it might be very competitive to get in. I applied Special needs education program and still waiting for the decision to come out. Good luck!
@Magichour I sent all the documents 15 days ago and it is still showing incomplete in my application status.
In how many days will they update the application status?
@ashumalik it should shows what is missing in the bottom of the application. I have to call them to clarify my English proficiency test though. Maybe try to call the international student admission office(not the general one) to see if they received everything or not
@ashumalik Good to hear that!!! I hope we both will hear back from them soon. Their official 1st batch should be on or before April 10th.
