Purdue v.s IU for psychology

I got accepted by both Purdue and IU...
This might sound a little dumb, some people already told me to go for IU for psychology, but I was just thinking, since Purdue has the "better name", should I choose Purdue over IU? And I'm a very musical person, I heard that Purdue doesn't have any music program, is it true? Plus, I'd love to minor in music.

AND, this might not be the right place to ask this kinda question, but is there any way to make myself to be considered as an Indiana resident so that I don't have to pay out-of-state tuition? I've been living in Kentucky since I immigrated from Hong Kong two and a half years ago. If I can give some proofs to prove my parents work in Indiana, would that make me an indiana resident?( I haven't gotten my permit/driver license yet, I can get it in Indiana.)

I would argue that IU has a better name for the arts and sciences. Purdue’s only real asset is the engineering school. I really don’t really understand why people go there for majors other than engineering. It’s a dreadful place, West Lafayette is. haha
I’d go B-Town all the way

Thank you! I appreciate it!
