Hi,

I got accepted to Purdue, to my 1st choice major which was Engineering. I also got accepted by UT and Virginia Tech, but they offered me alternate ways for selecting a major. UT offered me the 'cap program', where you go to a UT-system school in your Freshman year, and pass the requirements(3.2 gpa, along with 30 course hours), and comeback in the Sophomore year. Virginia Tech, a similar decision with UT's, offered me the University Studies major. I am pretty confused about this University Studies stuff, but I think you go to VT and pass some special requirements in accordance to the major you want to study.

So basically, it is Purdue or University of Texas-Virginia Tech(with risk). I would probably choose UT and VT over Purdue, but these requirements -despite they don't look though- scares me a bit. I don't want to stay in University of Texas at San Antonio, if I can't accomplish the specific requirement. It's same with Virginia Tech; I don't want to go there to study a major outside Engineering.

Also, I'm still waiting for an answer from Texas A&M. I'm living in Texas; so, it will be in-state tuition for me in UT and A&M.

What is the best way to go in my case? Thanks for suggestions!
