I have a music critique blog and a soundcloud page, both of which I invest a lot of time in. I put them in my activities, however does anyone know if/have experience with schools actually going on the links? I'm applying as a transfer so it's a fairly small pool so I think that my app will get a lot of individual attention, but I'm not sure if they'll actually click on the links and read my blog/listen to my music.

IMHO, if you mention how you’ve spent a lot of time on it and you want them to see it, it can only help to put the link.

I put the link to my food blog in the additional comments section (lack of space in the actual activity description) and one my the admissions counselors wrote back after she’d read my app to tell me she was excited to check it out. I don’t know if she ever did, though.

Keep in mind that a lot of colleges allow you to upload a separate music supplement, and you probably would have a better chance of having them listen to your music if you do that.
