Q on Journalism @ WCAS

I'm interesting in journalism and that's part of the reason why I am interested in Northwestern. However, i've gained this interest fairly recently and is not strong enough for me to fully commit to applying to Medill. I am still undecided on my major.

Perhaps journalism isn't realy my thing. I would never know until I try it out with a college-level journalism course, so I want to know if it's available at northwestern even if i dont go to medill. Obviously, journalism isn't just the area I'm interested in. Northwestern also provides for the other areas I am looking for. I like Northwestern because it provides me with strong programs whatever I decide on doing, ESPECIALLY jornalism.

So my question is, do I have to enroll in Medill to major in journalism? How about to minor in it? Also, will the quality of faculty be similar to that of medill if i take it in the arts & science college?

you can't minor in journalism at NU, and yes, you do have to be accepted to medill in order to major in journalism. there is no major in journalism within WCAS.

If you are a WCAS student, you can take journalism classes in Medill if there is space after all journalism students have registered.
