I'm wondering if the books in the student store are generally in pretty good shape? I hate hate hate highlighting and writing in my book but of course I'd love a cheaper used book.

Any insight?

Most of the ones I've gotten are in pretty darn good shape and seem "used" only in the sense that they had been purchased and sold back to the store, not actually "used." The unfortunate thing is that the number of used copies available is limited (no duh, right?), so the closer it gets to school starting -- and the further along it is since school has started -- the worse the books left get, and soon there aren't any at all.

Sweet. Thanks!

I've been waiting for my friend to get back to me about the condition before I could buy my books. Now I'm going to.

Side note: My refunded aid dropped into my account and I pretty much had a heart attack when I checked my account this morning. Yay! Now I can buy books!

Right now, there's a lot of choice. Most of the used books i looked at today have little or no writing in them. A couple of the paperbacks, that have to have been returned more than once, may have some writing in them, but none that I saw were underlined, highlighted, or written in by an idiot, at least not that I could tell!

There's a bunch of intro books that help with the main text that are called "used" but look like were never even opened!

Keep in mind, the used paperbacks are not that much cheaper than the new ones.
