Recently I applied to the Quarter Zero/Catapult Incubator Summer Program 2018 and I was wondering if there were any previous alumni or any individuals who applied for this. I haven’t seen a chat made for this yet so I created one myself. I was just wondering if anyone has already had their Skype interviews. If so, could anyone give a general description as to what they talk about (what questions do they ask you, is it hard, should i prepare for it, etc.)??
As an alum of Quarter Zero’s 11th cohort, I can speak to the amazing time I had in the program. QZero has less of an emphasis on lecturing and stresses more of a trial-and-error approach to entrepreneurship, which is often what you find to be the case in the real start-up world. I’d recommend the program wholeheartedly.
As far as the interview component is concerned, just be genuine. In preparation, think of times you have challenged the status quo or innovated. Be ready to speak to your strengths as a problem solver.
I agree with GoldAce154, they’re looking for people who care about entrepreneurship and are truly passionate about startups and taking the unconventional path. Just be yourself, and don’t be nervous, they’re a very friendly team. The skype interview usually goes down as a casual conversation, so just get hyped!
I’m going to submit my application this week. Do any of you guys know an approximate acceptance rate? Or at least a range from competitive ~ not competitive? Thanks!
I was accepted this year. Acceptance is slightly above 15% (director of the program gave me the stats during our interview, she’s super nice!) and there are 50(?) people per cohort.
