@WouldYouAcceptMe Hey there! I definitely do think you qualify for QB. You should definitely apply when you’re a junior! You’d be eligible for many opportunities
Oh, I applied this year because I am currently a junior. But I got sad when I heard that the summer program nominations are over. Oh well…
@WouldYouAcceptMe Huh? the nominations are over? Where did you hear that? I don’t think so. Sometimes, when they send you your acceptance email, they might grant an award as “nomination for a summer program”. Well, that’s what I remembered seeing in the old CPS threads.
Oh I assumed when wispanic said he received his a week ago, I thought they all went out at that time. So there is still hope then
@WouldYouAcceptMe In the email I got for the Notre Dame program, they said I would get an acceptance/rejection email early next week. I’m not sure why I got mine early - so it’s possible that you could still be selected for a program.
I’m so nervous! Good luck to all of us!
I got a call a few days after I had submitted the QuestBridge CPScholars application about being nominated for UChicago’s summer program. I had to complete their application and now I’m awaiting their decision.
@blueyou congratulations on being selected! I hope you get in - by the way, which UChicago program did you apply to?
@athenanv13 Good luck!
@wispanic I applied to the creative writing course of their immersion program
Good job @blueyou, would you mind sharing your stats? I just want to know because I applied to the same program and maybe there is some pattern to what they are looking for.
Good luck everyone! Hopefully, the decisions for the College Prep Scholars come in soon as well as summer programs! I haven’t heard any back yet- yikes! Does anyone know if there’s a deadline for hearing back from programs? On our “interest and availability” form, some programs said that we’d be notified to send in more info by the 15th.
i haven’t received any emails from these programs, but i forgot which ones i signed up for. i’m still really anxious though because i want to hear back from QB already
@blueyou same as WouldYouAcceptMe, stats would be great <3
@BeeBee24 Thanks, good luck to you too! I know, same here
@g.bby You can log into your application and click the “Preview Application” to see the app that you submitted. I’m very anxious too.
I really want to get into a summer program
Idk I don’t have stellar stats or anything

@blueyou perhaps it was the essay that swayed them? I think mine was a bit too… idk.I’m satsified with it, but at the same time, I’m not.
Hey, everybody. I’m new here and just found this thread. I got a phone call and email from Yu-Ree today saying I got accepted into the Stanford Summer Program. It seems like a great opportunity but I don’t live near Stanford and it would be an hour and 40 minute commute for me everyday. I also applied for an internship at a local hospital that I really want to do as well. However, I don’t know if I have been accepted yet and my interview isn’t for a while. Yu-Ree asked for my confirmation for the Stanford program by 5 PM tomorrow and she said upon confirming, I would have to revoke all other summer internships applications to show my commitment to the Stanford program. I’m unsure of what to do and I don’t know whether rejecting the Stanford program will affect my admittance into the College Prep Scholars program.
@leann99 Congratulations! I thought they mentioned that students live in the dorm rooms? And if they nominated you for a program, I think you’ve already been accepted as a CP scholar. Do you want to attend the summer program? If you’re not that interested, then I’d recommend denying confirmation and doing your internship instead, if that’s what you really want to do or prefer to do.
@leann99 Stanford is a residential program. The FAQ section of questbridge states that if you receive the summer program scholarship you’ll receive fare, tuition, and housing.
@Menduch @bry1026 Thanks for your responses; I really appreciate your feedback! When I talked on the phone with Yu-Ree, she asked whether or not I could get to the Stanford campus on a daily basis for the 8-weeks of the program and mentioned I would receive $200 for transportation purposes for paying for things such as BART, gas, and the bus to get to the campus everyday. I wonder if we are talking about the same program. Do you mind sharing the link to the FAQ page where you found that out?
