So I'm working on my application and nearly getting done with everything (just need to finish essay B) but have some questions on turning it in

I'm applying to McCombs and having just took the ACT (Sep 10th) and taking up the SAT (Oct 1), should I wait until the SATs are finished to submit my essay? Or does the SAT even matter when McCombs is making their decision?

I hear that most auto admits get their acceptance with their first choice major within a couple of weeks of submitting their essay, but was wondering if that's the same case when applying to McCombs?

Lastly, does it help at all writing Essay C?

I don’t believe it matters when you submit your essay or ACT/SAT scores - the two shouldn’t really have much if anything to do with each other. The application as a whole on the other hand is a different matter. I don’t believe you can submit the application unless you have everything completed (scores AND essay) so the order wouldn’t matter, just the fact that you have them ready when you submit your entire application.

As for auto admits getting their acceptance with first choice major within a couple of weeks … I don’t know which schools/majors allow that but as far as I know McCombs does not. Admission into McCombs is supposedly very difficult and competitive.
To reinforce that idea: I am an auto admit because of my rank and I submitted my application the date it opened, but I have yet to receive a letter/email in regards to my acceptance.

Good luck though, hopefully we’ll both make it into McCombs.

Wrong. You may get an auto admit notification from the University, but McCombs is not auto admitting anymore. They are doing holistic review and that will include your SAT or ACT scores. Not sure what “%” you fall in, but typically in years past McCombs took top 1% to 2-3% on auto admit, but that practice has stopped. I suspect you better be either be in that high top percentage or have some other outstanding standout “something” on either your resume or transcript. Because of the new procedures at McCombs, I am not sure anyone can tell you when you will here from them.
