Question about CARE classes

I'm aware they do require you to take diversity and justice, which i dont mind. however, do they pick the other two classes for you? if so, can they be changed should you not need to take them possibly due to incoming AP credit (anticipated credit)?

Not sure if they pick them for you but I did read on the page that they don’t allow you to take any math courses. Regarding AP, they will assume that you passed all the AP exams you took since scores won’t be out by then and you don’t end up taking a class you may not need.

They will encourage you toward some specific classes but you can insist you don’t want to the suggested courses and take other classes instead.

sweet, my plan is to take two humanities courses…is this a good idea?

You’ll find that to be very difficult. There’s very few Humanities courses offered during Summer C- in fact, the only one listed is Multicultural Film.

However multicultural film is an easy A class and that’s something to consider since your fall CARE study hours will be mandated by your GPA. Maybe take that, the one required diversity class and see if there is a science, math or English you need that you are going to have to fight every other freshman in the fall for.

luckily not janna, i will be coming in with AP credits for all of those. pasbal, where can i find the courses they are offering? both of you, thanks for all your help. you have been priceless!

I don’t remember when incoming students were granted access to view the course listing, but if it is available to you for viewing, you can find it on Blackboard, under the Secure Apps tab. There’s an option to do a Course Search, which will allow you to look up what courses are available, although you can’t do just a general search for all courses being offered by FSU.

which professor do i pick for multicultural film? i want to take reasoning and critical thinking, along with a 5 minute gap between classes. for reasoning/critical thinking it’s either Shepherd MTWRF 2:00pm-3:15 pm or Waller 11:00am-12:15pm (preferred). however it all depends on the feedback of the professor.

for MC film its either Johnson, Howard, Fryett, or Kew.

im also picking dr close for diversity and justice, is this a good choice?
