Question about checking my app status (2017)

Hello -

Up until now, when I've clicked on the https://axess.stanford.edu link to give my email etc., I've received a canned reply showing what has been processed.

Today I tried the same to see if Stanford finally uploaded my midyear updated transcripts (didn't get uploaded by my school until 2/25) - it was downloaded via CommonApp on 2/26.

I was directed to a page asking me to log in using my SUNet ID.....this is the first time I've seen this page....and I don't seem to have any emails directing me to create a SUNet ID.

Comments?

possible error, perhaps?

I sense sarcasm.

I had a similar problem and I contacted my admissions counselor. She told me that Stanford had all of my application materials and that they were reviewing my application, but for some reason didn’t send me a confirmation email. So what unicameral said is (probably) NOT true, even if we all get rejected anyways.

No one has their SUNet ID yet. You’re supposed to login as a guest.

I’ll go with ND2017s comment…I’ll try to call sometime this week and ask. I have a feeling I’m not alone with being frustrated with their less than adequate status updates.

Actually CaptainKrunch called it: on the left side of the page, under ‘Guest menu’, there was a clickable link

Check Application Status
Click here to check the status of your freshman or transfer application materials.

I filled in my email and was informed at the next screen that I would have a status within 24 hours.

Thanks all, I now return you to your regular programming…if anything I hope this thread helped someone else!

Now if they would only tell me what is missing, instead of just saying what they have…

Edit update: just got the canned email, still doesn’t show midyear transcripts, even though it was downloaded 2/26 from CommonApp. I guess this mystery is continuing. Those who are interested, please stand by.

The midyear report will not show up on axess (the system used to check your status), so I wouldn’t worry too much about it. I’m sure they received your midyear report. The only issue I had, which I talked about in my previous post, was that I never got an official confirmation email from Stanford. Therefore, I didn’t know if every applicant got a SUNet ID account or not since most everyone got a confirmation email. You can always call the admissions office if needed.

The confirmation email had the axxess information on it. There was no mention of a SUNet ID.

@etg2013/ND2017: correct, no SUNet ID confirmation via the axxess emails, just a link to the SUNet ID page as ‘guest’ for undergrad applicant status check.
