question about double major/minor

lets say that you’re accepted to NYU’s college of arts and sciences… if you wanted to double major or minor in something else at another college, would you be able to do so?

another example is a Tisch accepted student double majoring in MCC at Steinhardt. Is this possible? Or would you need to reapply to Gallatin if you want to combine these two.

Thanks

You can double major or minor between schools and in most majors. There are some exceptions, so to get the correct answer, you would need to speak to each department and be specific. Sometimes double majoring might not be easy to do in 8 semesters. And majors that require auditions or portfolios have specific requirements and you may not be able to double major in them.

I answered this on the RD thread for you but I’ll answer it here as well. Yes, you can double major at two different schools. Many people do it. You may have to apply to the second major just as you applied to the first major though. If you are accepted, that is something to ask you academic advisor about. She/he will be able to give you more info on if it’s possible for you based on your current major and how to do it.
