Question about Early Decision

Currently going into my senior year and I'm about to to take the SAT II subject tests. I want to major in computer science, so which subject tests would you recommend taking? The next date I can take the subject tests is Oct 5th, but I would like to have the ability to take them twice in case I mess up. However, I noticed the next deadline for the SAT subject tests is Nov 2nd, a day after the deadline for early decision. My other question then, is can I apply early decision but submit my test scores from the nov 2nd test a few days later when they arrive, or do I have to provide everything at once for the application?

I believe for SCS you should take Math II and Physics, but, as I recall, definitive information is on the school website. As for your second question, call or email Admissions and ask.

I had the same questions as you so I emailed them a few weeks ago. For that second question I got this response:

Please just let us know on the application that you intend on sending in additional scores and the date we should expect to receive them. For example if you want to apply ED on November 1st, you’ll want to make sure that your application gets in before the deadline, but in the “additional comments” section, just let us know when the scores are expected to arrive. If you take the tests before November 1st you should be in good shape.

I believe CMU just requires a math and a science, so just take whichever you’d feel most prepared for. Most students haven’t taken physics by the fall of their senior year, so taking chemistry or biology is probably the most common.

I checked the admission website. For SCS, it states Math I or II and Physics, Chemistry, or Biology.
