Question about Gabelli--> regular

Hi all, I was wondering- If you're not accepted to the Gabelli School, are you still considered for general admission to the university? It's been biting at me!

You can call admissions to confirm but I don’t think that is the case. From my understanding, the admissions standards for Gabelli are not really different from the rest of Fordham. In fact, I have read posts from students on this forum who were able to switch from a liberal arts major to a business major and vice-versa after acceptances came out. Again, I don’t work for Fordham, but that is my understanding. Good luck.

Admissions standards are the same for both Gabelli and Fordham College. So if you are not accepted into one, you will not be considered for the other. Likewise, if you are admitted into one, it is fairly easy to transfer into the other.

I also don’t work for admissions, so you can check with them to be sure, but I’m nearly positive this is the case.

yeah i got right into gabelli after being accepted to rose hill. it doesn’t matter just pick what you want.

My son mistakenly checked Rose Hill instead of GBS on comm app. After freaking out, he contacted admissions and requested admission to GBS. Took about 3 weeks but got the letter. I do not know if there is a different standard or not at Fordham. At other schools there is. Good luck.
