So, I am a College Student currently on Academic Suspension for the Spring 2014 (this) semester after not meeting requirements of Academic Probation the Fall 2013 semester. I am scheduled to meet with my academic advisor and my questions all presume my academic suspension will be lifted and I'd be eligible to enroll for the Summer or Fall 2014 term.

My GPA is absolutely abysmal (1.5) with 64 total credit hours. Around ~15 of those hours are from a Community College I attended before getting to my current University I am suspended from. I am trying to transfer to a different University however. Again, if somehow an amazing admissions essay explaining my circumstances and I am admitted will my GPA transfer and thus start as a 1.5 at my new school? Or will it start over as a 0.00?

If it does start over at a 0.00, how does this work with academic eligibility? Will I be able to play football my first semester (fall)? If I'm say taking 4 courses that first semester and at the start of the season am getting all B's, will they consider my GPA to be 3.0 and thus make me athletically eligible to play (NCAA states a 2.0 is required)?

If not will the football team/NCAA look at my old University GPA (1.5) and thus deem me ineligible?

I am thinking at this point my only opinions are to find a Junior College to play football at, or if my academic suspension is lifted, go back to my current University and work my ass off to get my GPA up and finish my degree. Thanks for any help in advance.
