Does JHU want us to talk about their major specifically? For example, "BME at JHU is perfect for me because xyz professor and xyz courses are tailored to my interests" or do they want "I want to pursue BME because of xyz experiences?"

Just want to know if this is a subtle why JHU type of question. Thanks!

hmm, id like to know this too, so would someone please reply? ^^ thanks!

Just write about where you see yourself going in the major, why you feel the major is right for you, and what experiences you may have had in that major (ie. done Chemistry research in high school or something). I believe that’s what I did and it worked out fine for me. Don’t think to deeply about it, but do put some thought into it and try to make your passion for your subject / field (if you have one -don’t worry if you don’t yet) shine through. Don’t worry too much about it as tons of people change majors coming in and the admissions counselors are aware that as a senior in high school you may not know exactly what they want to do in college or beyond. Best of luck.
