In addition to all the stress of applying to college my family just dropped a new bombshell on me. They dont want me majoring in International Relations which has been my intended major since my sophmore year. Their logic in all of this is that they dont want me to be unemployed my whole life. Their suggestion is i major in something practical and then if i still want to, pursue graduate studies in IR Apart from IR i have no idea where my interests may lie. So if theres any suggestions on majors please help. Second question is does going in undeclared effect the admissions process? The schools i was considering where like really based on their IR programs. The schools were University of Washington
Depaul
American
UC Davis, Irivne
George Mason
Goucher
University of the Pacific
My safety schools were all Cal states which i decided a while back if i had to go to a cal state my major would change for obvious reasons. Safeties: SF, SJ, and SD.
Some schools that appealed to me but i ruled out because their lack of an IR programs were UCSC and University of San Francisco. So now im just totally lost.

Also a school that I like is Seattle University. Im just so confused now because I've just always wanted to major in International Relations. HELP SOMEONE!!

try poli science with a concentration in IR. or you can also do it as a minor and alongside that put something like economics
