Question About NYU Transfer...Chance Me

Hello,

Let me know what you think of my chances....

HS GPA: terrible...not really sure but I didn't care about academics when I was in HS
SAT: Haven't taken it. I heard that I don't need it because I'm transferring as a Junior.

CC GPA: 3.86 with liberal arts courses as a junior level transfer
ECs: Serve on a couple organization boards, have volunteered over 250 hours, ran for local office, Honors Society
Work Experience: Have had paid positions on a few campaigns
Essay: Awesome
Recs: Very Solid

My question is....

My first semester of CC I have a W and two 0.0s because I was very stressed due to some personal things (I was coming out to my friends and family as gay and I had a really rough time)...I know NYU only recognizes the second grade when calculating the GPA but I'm still wondering how this will affect me.

Also, I received an additional W when I was sick for several weeks with the flu. Is that going to destroy my chances.

Is my 3.86 and ECs enough to transfer to Steinhardt Comm?

Thanks.

Not really sure :-\ If it asks for a High School transcript than that may hurt your chances greatly if you feel your grade point average wasn’t up to par. But then again, if they dont and your GPA for college is high than it really will probably come down to recommendations and essays. I found thats whats commonly looked at for transfers

good luck!
