<p>My dd has a phrase that reveals a lot about her. It isn't appropriate for the main essay, but the Quote Essay is the perfect place to include it.</p>

<p>It's generally considered pretentious to quote yourself in all but satirical or self-deprecating instances.</p>
<p>My quote is from a videogame...it's a good quote, since the videogame is very ideological (and dare I say "intelligent" >_>)...that's either an example of real talk, or the adcoms facepalming at my quote selection.</p>
<p>you could quote yourself definitely! especially if it is some mantra that helps you get through life. But I would also be wary of quoting yourself too philosophically or writing in a way that may make you seem pretentious. Be Careful.</p>
