<p>does the school have a preference to whether we send a resume or not? i’m applying early with the common application and the space provided is not adequate. is it alright for my counselor to send a resume along with school forms/transcript?</p>

<p>I was wondering the same thing when filling out my app (i did the whole thing by mail tho). When I looked closer, it says near the activities part that you must fill that in and although a resume can be sumbitted as well, it cannot take the place of the section on the app. I just listed my top few activities and wrote "please see attached sheet for further information"</p>
<p>From info sessions I have gotten the impression that Penn wants to get to know who you are in the simplest way possible. I attended an info session when I visited this past summer and this fall when there was an info session near where I live, and it seemed to me that they wanted as little "extra stuff" as possible.</p>
<p>That said, I know that a lot of people send in resumes, and it does not hurt them, and possibly helps them.</p>
