So I saw I received the presidential scholarship worth 4k/4years but it’s not going to be enough to be able to pay for college since it’s going to be about 27k a year. Is it worth it to talk to the admissions and ask to see if I am eligible for more? On my comcenter it says that its the “current financial aid award” meaning there still could be more aid correct? I just want to see if I can still be considered for more aid or if this is just what I am going to have to pay.
Did you request need-based financial aid? The full financial aid packages (including need-based) are supposed to be out within three weeks.
And merit aid is supposed to be rolling through March 31, but I have no idea if you could expect additional merit aid beyond what you’ve already been granted. UMN reserves merit aid for tippy top students. Many feel lucky to get any at all.
@MidwestMomTo2 thank you for your reply, and yes I did apply for financial aid. I keep forgetting that they say starting March is when financial packages start to arrive. I guess I was worried about the merit aid they gave me and didn’t think about the actual total financial package still to come.
