Question about scoring.

I got my AP Lang results back, and I disappointingly got a 2.

I am extremely shocked since I took countless numbers of practice exams and got solid 3-4s. I attend a top public high school in my state, and our averages are usually the highest in the state on AP exams.

However, I remember the proctor collecting our Part 2 booklets when we finished Part 1, and I corrected him and said he was not suppose to do that. I then said to him that the booklet he gave to me did not match my number I previously had from Part 1. A few people said the same thing so we all thought he messed up the order he collected and distributed back the booklets.

Turns out, I think I accidentally put my Student ID number in place of my Test Booklet # on my answer sheet. Could this possibly be why my score is the way it is? Would that mess with the grading?

I called the CB and I forgot to explain a few details, but they said I should submit a re-score request for $30.

What do you think?

Oh, and I forgot to mention, I’ve gotten a few opinions from people. Some say that yes, it could have affected my results, others say no. I am honestly so confused.

I am just really shocked with my score, and I am thinking that this is a possibility? I am not sure because it took them (the proctors who were terrible during the test — they had no idea what they were doing) an hour to “sort it out.”
