Question about Sending GRE Scores to Graduate Programs

hello,
right after taking GRE, I indicated 4 schools to receive my scores. I wasn't 100% certain about my applications, thus indicated a wrong department (say "bioengineering" instead of "biological science"). im wondering how the school receives GRE scores (i was thinking that a school would get them, not necessarily a department... of course .. i wonder if my choice in GRE would put a separate application under a different department)

i would appreciate your input alot as i wouldn't have to spend $20 again. arrg.

also, if i request a gre score to send to a university now, would schools receive them by next weekend (dec 6/7/8th)?

I don't know how long it takes to send scores; it probably varies by location. The website says to allow adequate time for post from New Jersey.

Re: who receives the scores, call the school and ask.

If you request your scores now, it will be in their system for Monday Dec. 1, however, it will for sure take 5 business days for them to process the scores, then they will mail them out. Therefore, it will probably not reach the schools by next weekend, bear in mind that once the scores reach the schools, it may take up to 2 weeks for them to validate it and put it on your file.
