Dear Dean J or anyone who might have the answer to this question:

In the Student Information Center of my SIS, under the Admissions section, my status shows the green circle which stands for "Complete." Shouldn't it be in the "View Decisions" mode with the green check mark? I realize that decisions are not out yet, but my friend's status shows the green checkmark.

Not according to the Office of Undergraduate Admission at UVA. I recently emailed them when my mid-term grades still showed “incomplete” five weeks after being submitted. I received the following email:

"Thank you for contacting the Office of Undergraduate Admission.

We do not have the office staff available to individually check for information. We will contact you only if your application file is incomplete. There is nothing you need to do or worry about at this time.

Thank you for your patience…"

Sure sounds to me as though applicants do not need to be concerned about the word “incomplete”. UVA will contact of us if our file is actually “incomplete”.

I’m in the same boat as aglages - I submitted my Official Transcript months ago & it still shows up on the “To Do” list. I’m one of those obsessive people who sent a duplicate in case it had not been received in hopes that it would disppear off the list. I emailed & received the same email response. Hopefully someone really will contact me if there’s a problem. UVA is my dream school - if I had to walk from DC to deliver documents, I would do it!:)

If Dean J IS UVA admissions (or speaks directly from UVA admissions) and she thinks we should be "worried about seeing the word “incomplete”', then it would seem that everyone in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at UVA is not on the same page.

Okay. I did. But now I’m really worried. Does that mean you guys have it or not? I sent paper so could it still not have registered? I thought I’d get an email if they didn’t have everything.

Why don’t you email me your full name and high school tomorrow morning. I’ll check to make sure your file is complete. deanj “at” virginia “dot” edu

I applied as a transfer student & sent all of my transcripts in Jan. My “To Do” list still says I need to send the Official Transcript. Does it make a difference in our “To Do” list if the transcripts are paper? I’m a non trad. age student so some of my transcripts are paper only because they were never computerized. I just want to make sure everything is there.
