Question about stopwatches

I plan on using the watch part of my stopwatch for pacing rather than use the actual stopwatch part. Would this be ok or should I just buy a watch to use on the test?

I would recommend a watch because after each section you don't have to reset it. It also doesnt make a beep when the section is done (or if it doesnt that wouldnt be helpful either). If you use a watch just make sure that you write down the start time on your test so you dont forget.

I used a watch with stopwatch capabilities on it, and that was fine.. one time, I brought an actual stopwatch with me, and they took it up and said it was not allowed... but i had my regular watch (with stopwatch capabilities), and they said it was fine, so i used that

so i recommend either (1) a regular watch [you right down the start and end times and follow the watch] like what mutant3324 said or (2) a regular watch with stopwatch capabilities like mine

Mine makes just one beep when it starts and they dont' want that. IT doesn't keep making sounds, just one beep. I have to waste 2 seconds jotting down the exact time for each section.

Do they take it away if it makes one beep at the start of the test?

just cough when it beeps! :D

haha, It would be a big coincidence that I cough everytime a new section starts.

I always cough or sneeze or make a little sniffle when i push the button on my watch to start it. The beep isn't loud at all, and I'm not the only one with one. But I still always make some noise when I start it just in case. I've taken it 5 times, and I've been able to use my watch throughout all 5 complete tests.

^ I wish I would have taken this way back in 11th grade and taken it at least 5 times like you. These scores take like a week to send right? I was wondering if I can take not only September and wait BEFORE I send the scores, but also take October and have the chance to wait for my scores before I send them. I got a 29(with 23 Science), and you never know, I might do worse, and I don't think colleges would like seeing me getting around 29 or below on these last two, so I'm not sending it blindly. I'm still aiming for 32 in September, that's like 5 questions wrong per section, and I can get it(31,32,31,23, 12 W)
