Question about submitting SAT/ACT

Hi!

I am a rising senior who already took the SAT and did well (2300). I am considering trying my hand at the ACT to see what happens, because my friend found that he was much better at the ACT than the SAT.

Of course, if I choose to take the ACT I will prepare for it, but if I take the ACT and do worse than I did on the SAT, can I just not submit the ACT? Or will I have to submit the ACT anyway?

I know colleges say they just look at whichever one is higher, but if there is a large discrepancy between the two scores I will be embarrassed.

Thanks for the help!

There are some colleges that require you to submit both all SAT and all ACT scores, Stanford and Penn among them.

2300 is like a 34-35 in the ACT. Chances are you’ll match that or do worse, don’t risk it

According to this site ([SAT ACT Conversion Chart | Convert ACT scores to SAT scores](SAT to ACT Conversion Chart: Convert Your SAT Scores to ACT Scores)), my scores (both 3 score and 2 score) are equivalent to 34s.

With that in mind, do you still think it’s not worthwhile to try the ACT?

^dude that chart is OC. People get 35 on act but only like 2000 on sat which is equivalent to a 29

I’m sorry, what is OC? I thought it meant Original Content, but that definition doesn’t really fit in your sentence…

Are you saying the chart is inaccurate?
