I posted this question in another thread but it was at the end so no one probably saw it, so I'll start a new thread.

For all these summer programs you have to be at least 16 to apply and I won't be 16 until July, and that's past the starting date of most of the programs.

Does anyone know of any summer programs where you can apply even if you're just 15? It would be nice if the program didn't cost a lot of money and is rather prestigious. But the prestigious part isn't necessary.

Thanks!

Most programs admit students under 16. Mathpath, for instance, goes down to age 11. There is a list of links to math and science programs under "resources" at www.artofproblemsolving.com

There is a great book at borders that has alot, in fact there are a few, so go down to a book store and check them out- they are sorted by location, interest, etc

What are you interested in doing, that would help a bit

Art, science, math, service work, politics, dance, drama, film,

I am interested in math and music (orchestra). Do you know any summer programs that may be of interest to me? ...something LESS prestigious than RSI/TASP/PROMYS... any of those well known ones?

Thanks for the replies.

I'm interested in science--research or an internship of some sort.

I assume you know that RSI doesn't have a stated minimum age. (Several of us were 15 during RSI05.)

I know, but I think most people are juniors. Sophomores have to be super duper special.

Any other input?

There's ROSS at Ohio State if you want to do something with math.

is promys prestigious?
