Question about transfer from St. Edward's

My girlfriend goes to St. Edward's University in Austin right now, and is considering transferring to UT. I have a few questions, hopefully you guys will be able to answer some of them.

1) She is an out of state student. I know that it's pretty tough to get into UT as an out of state applicant, but would it be different now that she's transferring from an in-state school? Or would they still consider her out of state and subject to the tougher competition?

2) What sort of GPA is usually the cutoff for transfer applicants?

3) Would it be better for her to apply at the end of this semester, or at the end of Spring semester to get in?

Thanks.

What semester is she trying to apply for?

If she lives in a dorm/apartment in Austin, she's an in-state applicant. Seeing as how you said she's from out of state and she goes to St. Eds I'd take that as a yes.

Yeah, she lives in a dorm at St. Edward's. As far as semester, fall or spring - doesn't really matter.
