Question about transfer units!!

Hi I want to transfer to UC from a out-of-state LAC.
So my school is semester system and typically students take four classes one semester. Each class has one credit
The question is that I don't know how many units equal to one credit?
If I take four classes each semester, I will have a total of 16 credits at the end of my sophomore year.
Am I eligible for applying as a transfer student? Will my course credits under the 60 transferable units requirement?

Thank you!

Are you a CA resident?

Most CCCs are on the semester system. You should aim to have 60+ transferable (semester) credits prior to transfer. For OOS schools you might have to guess at what’s transferable, and you probably won’t get official articulations (for subject credit) until after you transfer. Make sure you save your course syllabuses, you might need them later.
