Question about transferring

<p>I'm applying to transfer to a number of universities after 1 year of community college. My top choice would be UNC. I'm wondering, will colleges still look at my HS transcripts even if I complete the minimum number of credit hours required to be considered a transfer student?</p>

<p>My HS transcripts are very weak, and my goal is to use this year of CC to make up for my past mistakes.</p>

<p>As a soph transfer, with the minimum number of credits necessary to transfer, your HS record and test scores will be more important than if you were a jr transfer with a longer college record.</p>

<p>You will be applying for a transfer after completing only 1 sem/qt at college, thus the greater weight to what you did in HS.</p>
