I'm going to be a freshman at a CC this Fall. My orientation is actually AFTER my registration date. And I can't get an appointment with the counselors at all. They've made a workshop, but I'm going to be in Korea at the time.

I am under a lot of stress about my schedule planning. I'm looking to transfer to UCB or USC. I've basically just learned about GE and all this stuff from my cousin and just looking around myself, so I'm still a little unclear on things.

Assist.org tells me that I can pick a Psychology course for a breadth course. However, the articulation agreement for USC does not mention Psychology anywhere on it. Does that mean I shouldn't take this course? I really, really want to take Psychology. Should I focus on one school or just change to Sociology, which is accepted by both schools?

For USC, you might want to finish the Marshall pre-reqs first.
Do not stress about the General Ed requirement.
The only thing they want you to do is get a rigorous preparation and be enrolled full - time. Explore and take as many classes as you can at city because the units are cheaper there. I also took Psychology. I did not know that I was applying to USC until the last day to turn in the application. I was accepted even though my general ed plan pattern is based on IGETC. I would have to take the classes that I am missing in USC.

As for UCB, I did not apply because accounting is what I want to major in plus I really did not want to take the extra calculus classes.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the input. It really helped me a lot.

USC has a different GE pattern but some classes that fulfill UC requirements may also fulfill those for USC.
USC ARR : Articulation

Yeah, I am aware of that, but I really wanted to take Psychology. I guess I will be taking something else.
