Question about UCSB TAG requirement

Alright, so I know that UCSB's fall 2013 TAG requires that you have a 3.2 gpa "by the end of fall 2012." Does that mean you are allowed to have below a 3.2 during the September you apply, but will be able to TAG if you pull it up to a 3.2 by the end of the that fall semester?

I hope that made sense. Thanks to anyone who can help clear this up.

Yes, you are correct in your thought.

Can confirm. ha

Why is everyone tagging ucsb?

^ I wonder how many applicants are tagging to UC davis. It seems like UCSB will have a large amount of tagged applicants.

Maybe this is one of the reasons they have “pre-majors” with GPA requirements for some of the more popular majors - to weed out people from getting into the full major. For example, Economics and Economics/Accounting majors need to pass Economics 10A: Intermediate Microeconomic Theory with a grade of “B” or higher. Anything less and you’ll have to choose another major.
