question about waitlist!!!

It is okay. It's fine. You can put a deposit on a school and then notify them you're not enrolling. You do know the deposit isn't refundable, right?

I got accepted to my safety school, but got waitlisted at UPenn :(
Since the waitlist acceptees know after May whether they get in or not, is it all right for me to send the deposit to my safety school, but not go if I can get into UPenn?
I'm not sure if that's okay to do...
(P.S. i'm an int'l and no fin. aid involved)

yes, not depositing at any school and just waiting for Penn could be a disaster if you don't get off the waiting list... they expect you to send a deposit to other schools

okay, thx a lot! i don't care about the non-refundable deposit as long as I can get in to UPenn!!!

Typically, how much are deposits?

usually like $250 for registration and $250 for housing

this number obviously varies

400 bucks, i think that's what the max is, the min is probably 200 bucks

not true, some schools i think is 6hundred?

actually, most of the schools i was accepted into had deposits between $500-700

i have you all beat. my pepperdine deposit is $750

Nah, I do.

One of my Canadian universities asked for a depost of 1,3000CND = 1,115.22 USD...

In the thousands, babes and dudes. Thousands.
