I have quite a straight forward question:

I do not quite understand how universities confirm certain extracurriculars. I was wondering, how does Johns Hopkins confirm certain extracurriculars stated by a student?

For example, in my case, i mentor 2 young boys in DJ-ing, and this is a great part of my life in helping these kids. I also started a volunteer project which will hopefully become a school wide club and soon a community club, but right now it is in the pending, but this has been a big part of my high school career in doing this volunteer project i started by myself.

To my understanding, from what i generally know, I think I am suppose to report everything I do to my guidance counselor, and if a university wants confirmation on this extracurricular, they will contact my guidance counselor.

does that seem about right?

Well thats my main question, and its been stressing me because I do not know how to approach the extracurricular part for the application because an admissions officer might question some of the extracurriculars and say "I highly doubt he did that" and would claim I falsified that extracurricular.

A reply will be well appreciated in understanding how to verify this very important factor in the application.

Sincerely,

P.S. Admission Daniels, I cant believe the times you sleep and wake up during admission processes... you sir are quite a stupendous person, SLEEPING LATE and WAKING EARLY is quite the challenge.

P.P.S. Im not trying to be a, let me put it in colloquial terms, "ass-kisser" LOL I am just stating a fact from when i was reading your blogs and i was quite SHOCKED.
