People with outstanding stats ... It's not that hard to figure out if you're a match at a school or not when you have stats like many of you claim to have. Moreover, I feel like people with those types of stats would either have access to a school counselor or private college counselor that would be able to help them out. I'm just saying.

Am I far off?

Many people with those stats either want to stroke their egos or are genuinely nervous and want to be reassured.

Some people are just naturally self-conscious. No matter how awesome their stats may seem to you, they've probably seen someone with two more AP classes their senior year, taking fourth level Latin, with three summers of feeding hungry kids in Central America behind them and it makes them wonder if they're good enough. It's not hard to find someone with better stats than you, and if they're all applying to the college you want to go to...you know.

Right, but I feel like those kids are more likely to have college counselors/school counselors to help ease that pain. I just feel like truly talented individuals wouldn't be wasting their time on CC... moreso just the kids with fluff or the kids who are MOR.
