I applied to transfer to UCLA under an Anthropology BA, but am also taking premed requirements. I didn't try for the BS because I didn't want to complete all my premed pre reqs at my CCC. My questions is, will I be able to get into chemistry and physics classes (already completed Bio and Calc) being an Anthropology major and a transfer student, I believe transfer students have lower priority on registration?

Thanks for any knowledge.

You shouldnt have too much struggle adding classes. However if u are serious about med school you should switch to anthropology b.s. once u get admitted. U should strive to get as much pre-med claases in CC, those classes are taught much harder @ UCLA
I see to many students that get non STEM majors that still want to go to med-school… if u go that route u will have to get a post-bac, wasting time and money.

Hey! i havent applied yet, this is my first year at a cc, but i have the same concern as you! i dont want to take all my premed classes at a uc because i heard they look down on that. What i want to do is get into ucla as anthro ba, then transfer to a bs, and take my remaining med classes there. Im going to to try to get most of them done at my cc though, because ive heard they are extremely hard at ucla. I’m sure you’ll do well though!!! Best of luck!
