Question for fellow Mudders

How hard would it be for someone to off-campus major in Neuroscience and Music with a minor in Biology from Mudd?

I'm asking for someone else. I think it would be possible if they could pass out of a lot of the Mudd core classes? What do you guys think?

it would be possible...yet pretty difficult.

need to pass out of something like:
math 11, 12, 14, 61, 62.

i say go for it. if you were talking about combining engineering with something else i'd say no way but bio (as i hear) isn't too bad.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too. She can pass out of a lot of core classes including almost all the math. Maybe I should post on the Pomona forum and ask them how hard it would be to double major in Music and Neuroscience. But, I think the HMC end of it would be covered if she can tear through the core. The classes for the bio minor could be used towards her neuroscience major, right? Also is it possible to take hum classes at a community college and then transfer them in for credit (the 6 off-campus allowed ones at least)?

Yes, it is possible to take hums and transfer them. As for the Neuroscience/Bio overlap, that depends on Pomona's policy. I know Mudd biology is very strict and refuses to allow any off campus replacements for their bio courses. But Pomona may not be so harsh.
